ALPI in Denmark - Ready to Build

The construction of ALPI Denmark's new freight terminal - next to the motorway east of Herning - is due to start soon. The terminal will be ready in the summer of 2016.

The building with an area of 7,900 sq m is the first stage of the relocation of ALPI's operations from Lind. The next stage will comprise a 8,000 sq m warehouse facility and a 3,500 sq m administration building, both of which will also be situated at the new address.

Niels Arne Markussen, Managing Director of ALPI: "We are looking forward to launching the project. We will get a super modern terminal designed and fitted in accordance with our wishes. This will mean a lot for the optimisation of our working procedures."

The new terminal is divided into 5 column-free halls. A 400 sq m lean-to will be built in connection with the western hall as it provides the best options for handling long goods. Three of the five halls are scheduled for completion by 1 June 2016 and the rest of stage 1 two months after that.

The terminal will be built on a plot of some 150,000 sq m purchased by ALPI at the end of 2014.
